Why Not Enjoy Tango and Tea for the Holidays?

For the holidays, why not clear some space and make room for some dancing! Perhaps put on a costume and try the tango. Afterwards, drink some tea for a nice refresher. This image, featured in December 13, 1913 Perth Amboy Evening News, shows guests tango dancing. Many of them were unfamiliar with this dance as it was recently introduced to America in 1913 from the suburbs of Buenos Aires. It has a distinct style, drawing from multiple backgrounds, which contributed to its widespread popularity.

The article also includes tips on serving tea to a large number of guests from a heated pot, recommending chamomile for its calming effects. The refreshments also include a plate of thin sandwiches and some pastries for the finishing touch.
